Chicago firefighters and paramedics will ride 950 miles, around the Lake Michigan to raise money for Children’s Cancer, organized by Ignite the Spirit.
Ignite the Spirit is a Chicago Fire Department charity. The men and women from Ignite the Spirit have taken on Children’s Cancer as a charity, and have committed to raising as much money for pediatric cancer and fire department charities as possible.
Ignite the Spirit has organized a 950 mile, 12 day bicycle ride around Lake Michigan. The ride begins in Chicago on May 18th. This is a fun event, and could be the best vacation you have ever had. The guys get to bond for almost 2 weeks, and also raise money for children with cancer and cancer research.
The Cancer Awareness Bike Ride is an effort to raise money for Children’s Cancer. The bike ride is a way to engage the members of the Chicago Fire Department, and the states and cities we will ride through. Ignite the Spirit is “hands on” with all the charities that they contribute to, so we are confident that the money we raise actually benefits children with cancer.
Ignite the Spirit is seeking riders, and more importantly, they are seeking sponsors. Sponsors can benefit from positive exposure. Ignite the Spirit is the organization that makes the famous Chicago Firefighters Calender. Sponsorship opportunities are starting at $200 to have your name or business on a riders shirt.
Please support the members of the Chicago Fire Department on this Bike Ride for Cancer. Updates will continue to be posted on the CFD Blaze Blog, and please check in at FF911 Emergency Responders Network for fundraisers and to show support for the Ignite the Spirit Bike Ride for Cancer.
