The Chicago Outfit Roller Derby League home opener is April 24th at Windy City Fieldhouse 2367 W. Logan Blvd. The Roller Derby League is a not for profit and the League is donating to Ignite the Spirit. Let’s support these tough chicks!
The Chicago Outfit Roller Derby League was founded in the fall of 2007. We are a democratic, not-for-profit organization run by the skaters, for the skaters. We are an all-female, flat track, roller derby league based in the city of Chicago. Our goal is to create a positive female community dedicated to contributing charitably to other non-profit organizations. We, as skaters, strive to develop the skills necessary to compete within the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). As of September 1, 2009, we are proud members of the WFTDA Apprentice Program. The Chicago Outfit represents roller derby nationwide with class, sass, and dignity.

Chicago Outfit Roller Derby, a New Chicago Tradition
The league has it’s home opener on April 24th, 2010. This looks like it will be one of the most fun events we have all year. The ladies are making a contribution to Ignite the Spirit, so let’s get out there, and have some fun. Beers are only $3 and parking is free. It is at Windy City Fieldhouse, which is near Engine 56.
Windy City Fieldhouse 2367 W. Logan Blvd Chicago, IL 60647Tickets are $15 if you buy ahead, and $20 at the door. They are helping out Ignite the Spirit, and we are raising money for pediatric cancer.
The after party will be at Cobra Lounge around 10pm, and there will be a free party bus from the Windy City Fieldhouse to Cobra Lounge. I have never been to a roller derby match, so I am really excited to attend this one. Check out the Chicago Outfit Roller Derby website for other events they have coming up.
Tomorrow, April 15th, The Chicago Outfit Roller Derby League has a benefit for The Chicago Riots, their junior roller derby team which is made up of 13 to 15 year old girls. It will be at Reggies Rock Club, 2109 S. State St., $8 and all ages, starting at 7pm.
Saturday, April 17th Chicago Outfit Dance Party at Cafe Wha Who. 228 W. Chicago Ave, 9pm to 1am, $5 cover.

The Windy City Fieldhouse was mobbed by family, friends and fans of Chicago Outfit Roller Derby. The atmosphere was electric, and the facility smelled of sweat, perfume and PBR. I was working on Engine 56, so although I could not appreciate any of the $3 ice cold PBR’s, I sure enjoyed the game and the entertainment.
I cannot wait until the next Chicago Roller Derby. These ladies are tough, fun, hilarious, and generous. They Chicago Outfit Roller Derby are supporters of firefighter charity, Ignite the Spirit, and the CFD loves Chicago Roller Derby.
the Outfit loves the CFD!!!
Can’t wait to be had! I know in show business they say break a leg, don’t think that works in roller derby. I hope no one gets hurts…too bad.
