Phoenix Thunder Defeat the CFD Blaze of the NPSFL

The CFD Blaze were defeated 35 to 20 by the Police and Firefighters that play on the Phoenix Thunder.

On May 8th, our Chicago Fire Department football team, the CFD Blaze of the NPSFL were in Phoenix to play the tough, Phoenix Thunder.

Not surprising, although a 6pm kickoff, temperatures were near 90 degrees.  Not weather our Chicago Firemen are used to seeing unless in a burning building.  The Thunder are former NPSFL Champions, and are perennial leaders in the National Public Safety Football League.

The Thunder defeated the Blaze 35-20.  Jesse Estrada of CFD Engine 56, a Blaze wide receiver did score another touchdown.  This was not enough to hold back the Mighty Phoenix Thunder Offense.
