BEAT THE POLICE!

The annual CFD vs CPD Baseball Game is tomorrow, August 21st at U.S. Cellular Field.  The Chicago Police Department baseball team, the CPD Finest defeated the CFD Bravest last year.  Dan Sheahan, the manager of the Chicago Fire Department Baseball Team is confident the CFD Bravest can regain Chicago baseball bragging rights tomorrow.

The game starts around noon.  Gates open and pregame ceremonies begin at 11am.  Show up early and tailgate in parking lot B.  Parking is free and tickets are $5 or $10 at the door.  They can also be purchased online at TicketLeap by clicking here.

This is charity baseball, but the game is taken very seriously, and the firefighters and police that play, play to win.  Proceeds benefit the Gold Badge Society. Try and get to the baseball game early.  The pregame ceremonies are pretty special.  The CFD and CPD will be honoring our fallen Officers and Firefighters.  There will be an honor guard, bag pipes, a fly over.  There will be a ceremonial first pitch, fire apparatus, mounted units, K-9 units as well as raffles, concessions and merchandise all benefiting Chicago Fire Department Charities and Chicago Police Department Charities.

The after party is hosted by Cork and Kerry.  It is a post game block party at 33rd and Princeton.  It begins immediately after the game, 3pm to 8pm.  A $5 donation includes food and drink specials, music, raffles, and a lot of Chicago Firefighters, Medics, Policemen and our families.
