2011 Firefighter Calendar for Charity

The 2011 Firefighter Calendar by Ignite the Spirit is only $10. The calendar features Chicago Firemen.  Each member is a full time firefighter, member of IAFF Local 2, and the Chicago Fire Department.

The proceeds of the sale of these calendars go to fire department and emergency responder related charity.  Ignite the Spirit is a firefighter charity that was established in 2003 by Chicago Firemen.  All members of Ignite the Spirit are unpaid, and money raised goes to emergency responders, firefighters, paramedics, children, our families and our community.

Sales of our calendars, t-shirts, magnets, as well as proceeds from our fundraisers are delivered back to our members who need help.  Consider some of our recent donations:

The Wheatley Scholarship for High School Students.

Donations to firefighter families that lost a loved one.

Donations to Children’s Cancer Research.

Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, IFSA, The Burn Camp, Camp I Am Me.

The Annual Toy Drive for Children at Cubby Bear.

Firefighter and Police Sports Teams for Charity.

Our Holiday Boot Drive for Children.

Being available and helping our Union and Danny DeGryse with EAP, Employee Assistance Program.

Supporting Veteran’s and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Our Political Action Committee, PAC.

The men and women that volunteer for Ignite the Spirit also make contributions that we would never reveal.  When individuals and families of firefighters and paramedics are down on their luck, Ignite the Spirit is there.  Because of our volunteers, sponsors, donors and supporters, we are a resource for our membership, the members of the Chicago Fire Department.
