It is important for all of us to realize that there are many different ways you can give back. I am very happy that my children remind me of this almost everyday.
Biking seems to be a great way to raise both awareness and funds for a worthy cause such as the Hank Schueler 41 and 9 Foundation. I look forward to hitting the highway…just hope the weather is good!
I want to be able to contribute to a firefighter charity that I know works hard to help our Chicago Fire Department, and now pediatric cancer as well.
“I went on a charity bike ride for the victims of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. We rode from Chicago to New York. Having had experience on long, charity bike rides, I did not hesitate to join Rich Pinskey in the Bike to Fight pediatric cancer fundraiser and charity bike ride.”
I am a student at Loyola University in Chicago, and I am riding with my father, Firefighter Phil Walsh of CFD Truck 44 in Lincoln Park.
