Department of Justice Information
The U.S. Justice Department notified Local 2 today, August 17, 2010, that they have received the Test results and Technical Report for the Fire Lieutenant Exam.
As most of you know, because of a Consent decree dating back to 1980 the City of Chicago must submit certain items regarding the testing procedures to the U.S. Justice Department for review. The Department Of Justice has 45 days to either reject it or do nothing. The 45 day time period does not start until ALL the items needed for review have been submitted. As of today, all of the items have NOT been submitted.
They could not give me a time table, they said, it could be 2 days or 2 months. Again the 45 day clock does not start until all items have been received from the City of Chicago.
