May 21, 2009 | Trek Around The Lake
We are planning a cancer awareness bike ride that will take us around Lake Michigan in early spring of 2009. The ride will be a 12 day 900 mile ride that will take us up through Michigan and back down through Wisconsin. This ride will be Ignite the Spirit's way of helping with the fight against child cancer. This terrible disease in one way or another has touched us all so this ride will be one way to help donate to cancer research and maybe a cure someday. December 19, 2008 | Christmas Toy Drive
Come out and support our 5th annual Toy Drive for 3 area Children Hospitals Illinois Masonic, Comers at the Univ of Chgo and Childrens Memorial. We have donated over 10,000 toys to these Hospitals over the past 4 years and are looking for another strong showing this year. The Party will be held at Cubby Bear 1059 W Addison on Friday December 19, 2008. Donations of $30.00 without a toy or a $15.00 donation with a toy will get you in the Christmas party of the year. We will be serving bottled beer, wine and soda for 3 hours from 7 - 10. We also will have the calendar guys from the 09 calendar on hand to sell and sign calendars thru out the night. Hope to see you there to support Ignite the spirit and these hospitals with giving gifts to children during this holiday season.
