With the welcome addition of these three new teams, the NPSFL is now composed of 25 teams in 13 states across the country. The players of each team are all active public safety personnel such as police officers, firefighters and EMTs, probation and parole officers, deputies, and corrections officers. Each team is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, devoted to raising money for charities of their choosing.
